However you should not be counting on being raptured either before or out of the tribulation as you don't know just when you might die, so make sure you are in a good relationship with Jesus, having accepted him as Lord and Saviour, and behave accordingly, and be prepared to go through the tribulation as far as you can, but few are likely to make it to the end. But cheer up, God really wants you to be in Heaven, and the sooner you go the sooner you get there, that is why he sent Jesus to pay the maximum for all the sins and indiscretions of the world, enough to cover everybody so no one needs to miss out, just ask and accept Jesus as Lord, and believe on his name as the Son of God, and with God's help get your lifestyle the way God wants it, read the New Testament, as this is the update for the Old Testament, the prophesies of which still apply.
1Thessalonians 4:15 "According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep."
1Th 4:16 "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first."
1Th 4:17 "After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
1Th 4:18 "Therefore encourage one another with these words."
Because this is "until the coming of the Lord" it could mean the end of the seven year peace agreement, at the appearance of the "Lion of the Tribe of Judah", the start of the millennial Reign of Jesus the Jew.
Luke 17:34 "I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left."
Luke 17:35 "Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left."
Luke 17:36 "Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left."
Will God be taking half of the population? There will need to be a great revival to get the numbers up for that.
The main debate seems to be about when this will happen. I can see several possibilities for the timing so will consider them all in order, then find scripture that supports or refutes each possibility, if I can.
First the general outline of what I believe will happen, according to the scriptures. The Jews have returned to the Promised Land and as foretold all the nations and peoples who are against the God of Creation are taking out their hatred on God's chosen people, as a sign that God will have to deal with all the nations very severely, at some time in the future. The prophesies yet to be fulfilled are that there is to be a Seven Year Peace Treaty confirmed by a World Leader, which will enable the Jews to rebuild a Temple on the Holy Mount in Jerusalem, which will be desecrated half way through the seven years by a world leader who will be a dictator. A supposedly more secure money management system will be introduced as optional during the first three years, but will be made compulsory from the time of the desecration of the Temple. It seems to be an inserted chip specifically in the right hand or the forehead which is read by the checkout computer and banks so no password is needed, possibly an RFID, and the number "666" is an identifier of the system. After the Temple is desecrated and the "Mark" becomes compulsory the true Christians will refuse, even to death as they know that taking the mark totally separates them from God for all eternity, the only other option, taking the mark, means eventually being thrown into the "Lake of Fire".
Mat 24:7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
Mat 24:9 Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
Mat 24:10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,
Mat 24:11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Mat 24:12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,
Mat 24:13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Rev 20:4 "I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
Rev 20:5 "(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection."
Rev 14:11 "And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."
Rev 20:14 "Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death."
Rev 20:15 "Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire."
Rev 21:8 "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." If you are involved in any of that then repent and turn from it promptly.

This warning below is directed mainly at Israel, so believers there need to be listening to the news casts all the time.

During the last three and a half years, known as the Great Tribulation, things will get worse, world wide. Just as you can now see that Obama is leading USA into a financial hole they can never pay their way out of, refusing money for protective measures for the country, and so there will be a day of reckoning, which will be a great disaster for USA, and also the Euro is in great trouble as Greece tries to escape defaulting, on billions of Euros, (23July '15 They have escaped defaulting but are deeper in debt), so it will be in the last three and a half years, as the Dictator tries to get absolute control and make everybody happy with his rule, but can't, as he will have over-sold his and the world's assets, and terrorists and nations mess things up, until at the end people are hiding under rocks and pleading for rocks to hide them from the wroth of God. Rev 6:16 "They called to the mountains and the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!" No indication that some are repenting.It's that Jewish Lamb who will reign for a thousand years with a rod of iron, not a little Christmas baby any more.
Then there is a few days of peace before the Jewish Messiah comes to rule and reign for a thousand years.
Dan 12:11 "From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days."
Dan 12:12 "Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days."
From God's perspective this is a waste of effort, as some may say that with some Christians gone we may be able to get along better without so much argument about morals and the new freedoms our new laws have given everybody. The ones left behind have much more flexible morals and little interest in following the guidance of the Bible, and probably don't read it.
From Gods perspective this is a disaster, it makes it seem that His people were the problem, their disappearance would be followed by a year or two of comparative peace with hope and expectation of great improvements in world affairs.
Probably within a few months the world would start to realise the terrible predicament they are in, and that hatred of Jews and Christians had suddenly escalated to a ferocious demonic level, as Christians, Jews, and also those who refused the "Mark" were under attack everywhere. Their sudden disappearance would be an obvious mercy of God in rescuing them from a hopeless situation, where outreach to the world to try to bring them to salvation and the love of a forgiving merciful God had already proved to be mainly a useless effort, as most of those who were willing had already come into the Kingdom.
It was now at the stage of sending servants out into the highways and byways and forcing people to come into the kingdom.
Luke 14:23 "Then the master told his servant, Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full."
Luke14:24 "I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet." Those who were invited but refused.
You were all invited, but if you refuse the gift, then at some stage the option is closed. If you continually refuse and harden your heart against God's offer, then God will further harden your heart, as he did with Pharaoh. I think this refers mainly to the likes of the Pharisees and Sadducees whom Jesus criticized, and people who are too proud or self sufficient to admit God into their life, or who deny there is a God or any intelligence that created the complexity of all life, preferring mindless accidents and mutations and leaping impossible scientific hurdles, rather than an intelligent cause of life.
Also the increase in violence and beheading of anyone of whatever belief or of no belief for refusing to take the "Mark" and being labeled a criminal, because why else would you want to hide your monetary transactions, but to hide illegal dealings and escaping Income Tax. As society goes mad it is a good time for God to take his people out of the turmoil and danger. This would seem to the world as a blessing from God to those who had accepted Jesus as Saviour and Lord, even though those left would not understand the implications as yet, they could probably understand that many Christians had escaped a very messed-up and dangerous world, but escaped to where and what conditions, life or death? The TV and radio networks would still be fully operational and so the mystery of the disappearance of millions of people would be world news for a while, then be left as an unsolvable mystery. The Beast and the Apostate Cult Church would of course say that the world was better off without the trouble makers. cults.html. Some are surprisingly large and respected, but are anti-God, drawing people to a false Gospel with no salvation. How to tell if you are in one.
When the Apostles started the church, in Roman times, if there was any unexplained problem the cry was "christians to the lions" later when the apostate church was established the cry was "its the Jews, kill them" now it will be all our problems are because of those so-called christians who refused to join the World (apostate cult) church, they have disappeared, good riddance.
This would probably be at a time when the true Christian population was at its maximum so would make the greatest impact.
The apostate church will find reasons why their hierarchy has remained for the good of humanity, and try to draw people into it to keep them from going to Heaven. During the first three and a half years of the Peace Treaty, the trading mark "666" whatever it is, is optional and the standard bank cards will probably work until you foolishly accept the "Mark", so nobody should be killed for refusing the "Mark", therefore those who are killed for refusing the Mark are in the second three and a half years of the Peace Treaty, the Great Tribulation.
It is well known that the True Church grows and prospers in times of persecution, that is why there will be a delay after the Temple is desecrated, and persecution increases, until the rate of new converts falls to a level where God will decide to take his people out of harms way. Consider many Protestant Churches who have ignored the Bible and made church into a friendly little huddle, have caved in to law changes such as abortion, euthanasia, and many others that "political correctness" demands, taking the easy option, and just being happy with a reading that teaches little or nothing and repeat set sermons year after year. Many of the main-line protestant churches have apostate leaders who deny that Jesus died, was buried, and arose to life, that Genesis and many other events are just fables. If the Rapture happened very few of them would go.
The Roman Catholics believe that as long as they are members of the Roman Catholic Church they are assured of heaven eventually, just stopping off at purgatory for a clean up on the way. This is in direct opposition to the Bible, there is no purgatory, and membership and church attendance has nothing to do with salvation and heaven. Worshiping statues and praying to deceased people is forbidden by the Bible. The Bible is clear and definite that salvation and entry into Heaven is only by relationship with Jesus, accepting him as Lord and Saviour, then following his moral and spiritual guidance, as can be found in the Bible. As Roman Catholics depend on the churches teaching, and are told they cannot understand the Bible but must have it interpreted by the Church, most have no real understanding of how to be saved and go to heaven, and have essentially turned their back on Salvation.
A Rapture at this time would leave most of these "christians" behind, and cause confusion because since only a few christians went, then that couldn't have been the rapture. This is why the rapture will be delayed, to get these semi-christians to get their beliefs right, so as to get the maximum number saved for the rapture, as the persecution makes people think more clearly about God, or mindless evolution, and the real purpose and values of life. We will be doing the evangelism we didn't bother to do while it would have been easy.
You may have to go through a year or two of being hunted down because the rapture may be delayed until Revelation Ch:6, where the second seal is opened and peace was taken from the earth, and in v9 any christians who are beheaded are under the altar, so are not being raptured, from about that point onwards.
Rev 6:3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!"
Rev 6:4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.
Rev 6:5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
Rev 6:6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "Two pounds of wheat for a days wages, and six pounds of barley for a days wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"
Rev 6:7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!"
Rev 6:8 I looked, and there before me was a pale (green) horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

The original says "light green horse, but not having seen a green horse the translators left green out, but we need accurate translations so we can get a proper understanding of the many hidden inferences. Think of a "stalking-horse" something light green, a flag perhaps, helps us to know who it is on the loose, and their intentions. Below is a Picture of Hamas. As this has been on the web and through several PCs it is hard to say if this is a light green or mid green. Could this be what is warned of, or a forerunner of one to come after the start of the seven year peace agreement? Are their actions part of the cause of the seven year agreement? Could they expand to control one fourth of the world?

From Gods point of view before Revelation Ch.6, would be the best time for a rapture, as there is clearly good reasons for taking the Christians, and as he is about to pour down disasters as given to the Book of Revelation God would not want to have his people receiving the punishment meant only for those who were refusing to come to God. Revelation Ch.8, and 9 are terrible, and God's people shouldn't have to be subjected to all this.
As the dictatorship crumbles people will stop bothering about "dobbing in" christians and become more concerned about what is happening and why. Is the Bible the answer, and so there may be a time when it is much more open to preaching the Gospel, and a surge in conversions. There could be thousands in hiding who suddenly disappear, but who would tell? Who would publically say "I was hiding my Christian parents but they suddenly disappeared"? Nobody would admit to the crime of having hidden someone, so all those would not be noticed or counted as disappearing suddenly in a "Rapture", so no wide spread public notice of them. Only people who were not hiding would be publically noticed, such as people who were employed or often in public, but hatred and spite against Christians and Jews and the threat of beheading would have forced most into hiding. Those who were employed would have their wages paid into accounts they could not access without the Mark, and couldn't pay anyone, or buy food, and soon it would be noticed they didn't have the new type of account, and were not recorded as having the Mark, bringing about a quick sorting out of their affairs.
Though a rapture at this time may be large, many would have been in hiding, so the effect on those left behind would be muted. If those who are enforcing the "Mark" catch you, you won't get to the end of the seven year peace agreement, unless you take the mark, but that is worse than death in this life, so don't take the MARK. It will be virtually impossible for any christian to survive the latter part of the 1290 days of the last half of the seven years, as the hunting for them will be so intense as the "Man of Sin" gets more furious as he sees his plans crumbling, that even those who repent during that time can hope for only a short survival, but will finish up in Heaven. I believe, at present, that these are the ones who are congregating under the alter in white robes.

Rev 6:10 "They called out in a loud voice, How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?"
These have been "saved" during the last part of the 1290 days of intense tribulation,
Rev 7:13 "Then one of the elders asked me, These in white robes who are they, and where did they come from?"
Rev 7:14 "I answered, "Sir, you know. And he said, These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb".
The rapture having taken those who were to be saved at one of the times mentioned above, of which I favour the third option, but can't prove from the Bible. However if the rapture had not taken place previously, then all Christians would be under the altar and none would be raptured.This gives me reason to expect the rapture to be not long after the Temple is desecrated.
The ones under the altar are not being Raptured or meeting Jesus in the air, they come a few at a time, perhaps were caught during house searches for people who had refused the "Mark" . They wait under the altar while others are being killed for refusing the Mark. As the altar is in heaven they won't have a rapture. For these to be raptured there would have to be frequent Raptures as each was caught, as they are hunted down during the latter part of the last three and a half years of the seven year Peace Treaty.
Because it is about the future we cannot be certain, except that the Bible seems to be clear that a sudden disappearance of Christians will happen. Many highly qualified scholars have tried to tie the rapture down to a particular time but can't, nor can I. It is a good idea to research what might happen, and exercise your mind on several versions of it so that you are not caught totally unprepared for whatever happens, so that on the spur of the moment you will already have the main facts and ideas in your mind, and the warnings of what you MUST AVOID doing, don't take the MARK, whatever you do don't take the Mark, this might not be the banking document/card, but an additional authorisation or registration to be able to use the banking and monetary system. Having researched this in the Bible for yourself, please do not take the Mark! God has an everlasting love for you, he cares for you, please don't disappoint him.
Rev 13:15 "The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed."
Rev 13:16 "It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads",
Rev 13:17 "so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name."
Rev 13:18 "This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666."
From Gods point of view Rapturing at this time will have little impact on those he is trying to save, as people will be stressed out trying to cope with all the disasters that are coming upon the world, as they were cursing the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.
Rev 16:1 "Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth."
Rev 16:2 "The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image."
I think perhaps the chip of the Mark leaked poisonous chemicals into the blood stream.
Rev 16:3 "The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died."
Rev 16:4 "The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood."
Rev 16:8 "The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire."
Rev 16:9 "They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him."
Rev 16:10 "The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony"
Rev 16:11 "and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done."
Rev 16:21 "From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible."
(100 lbs is approx 45Kg or 45 Litres of water in one hailstone! )
Isaiah 30:26 "The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted."
Seven times brighter but not hotter because he is restoring his chosen people to prominence, but supports God's control over the sun. Even at present he has control over the temperature of the earth, so global warming is in his care, it won't happen until God says so, and we have no control over it, as our pollution is only a few percent of the global warming gases, water vapour being the main one, and we have no control over that.
There will be floods and famine, farms destroyed, roads washed out, power and fuel hard to come by, and the employment and business world in total disarray. The saving of a few Christians out of the turmoil would go unnoticed, and he would have put them through most of the disasters that were punishment for those who were still determined to ignore God and believe only evolution in spite of the evidence against the possibility of random accidents and mutations producing the near perfection of life, and cannot account for the start of life. Maltreating his Christian believers is not honouring to God, so I don't think this option is acceptable. This time for the Rapture would achieve the least possible for God's purposes, as just a few days after the end of the Seven Year Peace Agreement the Messiah comes to reign, so it is rather pointless to have a rapture close to the end as a witness to the remaining few who have been determined to oppose God.

At last it is all over and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah comes to rule with an iron Scepter for a thousand years.
Post script.
Part of the problem of determining the time of the rapture is not giving a more exact time of when you think it will be. Just , pre, mid, post leaves plenty of room for arguing, particularly about the last two. I can now see that the rapture probably will not be promptly after the Temple is desecrated, but before Revelation Ch:6, as I think God will not subject his people to the final torments and disasters.
Similarly those who believe in the rapture at the end probably don't mean the very end, but may mean before the really rough stuff starts to happen, so we may actually both be talking of about the same time.
As there will be a new earth and a new heaven, and those who were raptured, or had died as Christians, will be helping to rule, then who will be populating the new earth? Will some Christians live through to the end of the 1335 days and beyond? Dan 12:12 "Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days."
I think God would have to be deliberately keeping them safe, as he did for Noah.
