The way the devil works to deceive you.

Some brief but serious advice on a part of our spiritual warfare.

Satan keeps reminding you of your supposed failure and loss in order to torment you, but take heart. If you had done a serious sin you would know and be able to specify the sin and repent of it, and know that that was what you intended. If you can't specify the sin, or the meaning that seems to have been ascribed to it is not your true intention, then you didn't do it, and the accusation is a bluff. The devil is always a liar so the accusation is a lie.

The devil wants to create a murky area that you are afraid to investigate, because the accusations against you and all his bantering is too distressing. He, the devil, will seize upon something you said or did, or even something that never happened,and twist the meaning into something you never intended, perhaps a meaning you could not envisage at the time. Perhaps he will deceive you as to the circumstances you are dealing with so that you will not understand and you miss the true objective.

This forms the basis of his attack. That the meaning he has ascribed to your words or actions means that you have failed God and are so far from Him that you might as well give up, or have even jeopardized or lost your salvation.

Recovering to a good relationship with God from where the devil says you are, looks like climbing Mount Everest during a storm without an oxygen supply. So you might as well put it in the too hard basket, leave it till later, get on with life and wait for some inspiration for a solution. But if Satan has his way he will be able to block any inspiration and keep you depressed and failing in Gods purpose for your life.

Since the meaning the devil has ascribed to the event is a lie and a total distortion of your good godly intentions, take a stand against the devil. Command in Jesus name that the accusation be removed, and Satan banned from pestering you over it. Rest assured that Satan has already been to God with his distorted version.

Tell God what was meant, such as:
1. To sincerely help someone.
2. To make sure that someone was getting the spirit correctly.
3. To correct someone's misunderstanding of the scriptures.
4. The devil made the circumstances seem different, misleading you.
5. It was conditional on being within the will of God, though not expressly stated at the time.
6. or whatever covers the situation.

The devil will try to convince you that you did something so bad that you lost your salvation, but if you still care about God, respect and worship him then you still have your salvation. According to well known councillors those who have lost it don't care about it, are not interested, and can be quite anti-god, espousing such things as eastern religions or evolution as a sop to calm their conscience.

Seize upon the faith you still have and rebuke the devil and his accusations. The advise of christian councillors is that if you are accused of committing something even such as the unforgivable sin but that is a distortion of your intention, then clear it up with God that your intentions were good and the meaning could not be construed as contradictory to God's laws. That the meaning was conditional on it being within the will of God, though perhaps you didn't make that clear at the time as such a possible twist to the meaning never entered your mind. It is the devils misrepresentation.

We all have problems seeing into the spiritual realm, or seeing what spirit is behind something. There is a lot of misinformation from good intentioned bible believing christians that directly contradicts Gods word, such things as:

1. That the Jews forfeited all their rights when they crucified Christ. Psalm 22 and Isaiah Ch.52 & 53 show clearly that God had planned this for our redemption, setting aside the Jews for a time.
2. That the christians are the church and have taken over all the blesings and rights from the Jews since they defaulted. The Bible states that the Jews are set aside for a time until the "times of the gentiles is fulfilled". Now the Jews are back in the Holy Land, in the forefront of Gods dealings with mankind, so that nations can be judged on how they respect God, by how they respect Gods chosen people, the Jews.
3. That tongues are of the devil. The New Testament tells us to earnestly seek the best gifts, including tongues. These are ours until the end of the age, till Jesus returns, or the end of the time of the gentiles, or when the Holy Spirit is taken out of the world in the last three and a half years before the millennium.

People who fervently espouse these misrepresentations may cause you to worry and perhaps temporarily mislead you, causing you to get into dangerous spiritual circumstances, but it is your good and honest intentions before God that are true, not the distortions the devil puts on it, so that he can accuse you and hinder your witnessing and to try to destroy your relationship with God. If you still care about God he still cares about you.

Now that the Jews are back in the land that God gave them, we are coming to the "time of Jacobs trouble" when the prophesies in Daniel, the last seven years of it, and a great move against Israel that precedes and necessitates the Messiah coming to save Israel, is about to show which nations and people respect God. Some details are also in Zechariah Ch 8 and 12 onwards, and Revelation. The devil knows his time is short and is sending his murderers against Israel, be careful about which side God will consider you and your nation to be on. The devil will also step up his attacks on christians to try to reduce their effective prayers, and support for Gods people.

So get stuck into the devil and get him off your back, so you are more available to God.
